Farid Akhundov, General Director, Caspian Drilling Company (CDC, exhibition sponsor)
Each year, Caspian Oil&Gas enables us to successfully demonstrate our experience and achievements the fields of well drilling and engineering service, as well as to build our market potential.
It is my opinion that the exhibition format should undergo some changes to become ever more successful; for instance, it makes a lot of sense to hold panel discussions and companies' presentations all across the Baku Eхpo Center.
CDC has been active since 1996, carrying out drilling operations as part of major oil&gas projects in the Caspian Sea (with over 100 wells drilled); we also run drilling rigs of different types, notably Istiqlal, Dede Gorgud, and the 6th generation semi-submersible drilling rig Heydar Aliyev.
Commissioned by BP, Heydar Aliyev rig is currently drilling an ultradeep well (7 thousand meters) in a new zone of Shah Deniz field.
This year, Dede Gorgud drilled the first well in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea (Zhenis project); later on, it will presumably be involved in operations under the Karabakh project (operated by Equinor) and the deep-gas project operated by BP within Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block in the Azerbaijani sector of the sea.
CDC has in its portfolio numerous operations performed by our specialists in the Mediterranean Sea at the request of Israeli and Turkish companies. We also have new offers from foreign partners.
We are positive that our high-quality services will remain in high demand.
