The United States imported 2.1 million barrels of oil from Azerbaijan during the first four months of 2016.

According to the US Department of Energy (DOE) in the same period of 2015, the US did not import oil from Azerbaijan. However, the US purchased 4.82 million barrels of Azerbaijani oil in 2015, 8.4 million barrels in 2014.
