Medinex 2025: Achievements in Modernizing the National Healthcare System

On October 30, the opening of the 27th Azerbaijan International “Medical Innovations” Exhibition – Medinex 2025 – took place at the Baku Expo Center. The event is organized by Caspian Event Organisers together with its international partners, Caspian Event Management and ICA Events. The project is actively supported by the Azerbaijan Exhibition Organisers Association (ASTA).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Chairman of the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ahliman Amiraslanov, stated that holding a medical exhibition in Azerbaijan has become a wonderful tradition that brings together the country’s leading specialists in the field of medicine. In his opinion, the wide representation of various branches of medicine at the exhibition indicates its high status. The business program of the exhibition also draws special attention. The topics of the seminars and panel conferences, the speaker emphasized, address the most important issues of modern medicine. This can be considered one of the greatest achievements of this year’s exhibition.

Chairman of the Board of the State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance, Zaur Aliyev, as the main partner of the exhibition, expressed his satisfaction that Medinex serves as a platform for meetings and cooperation between public and private healthcare organizations and companies,and wished all participants productive work for the benefit of Azerbaijani medicine.

Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rasim Ismailov, emphasized that the exhibition plays an important role in the development of the healthcare sector in Azerbaijan.Over the years, this event has brought together industry professionals, heads of leading public medical institutions and private clinics, and all interested parties. Mr. Ismailov welcomed the participation of domestic manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment at the exhibition. According to him, the number of such companies will continue to grow in the future.

Executive Director of the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TƏBİB), Vugar Gurbanov, drew the audience’s attention to the successes of the healthcare sector in Azerbaijan and noted that the quality of medical services is steadily improving. The speaker especially emphasized that modern medicine is developing through the use of innovation and the latest technologies. In this sense, in his opinion, the Medinex exhibition occupies a special place. The platform that brings together industry specialists, manufacturers of medical equipment, investors,and the academic community plays an important role in the future development of Azerbaijan’s medical sector.

General Director of Caspian Event Organisers, Farid Mammadov, presented statistical data on the Medinex exhibition, expressed gratitude to sponsors and partners, and wished the participants successful work and new business connections.Held amid ongoing reforms aimed at modernising the national healthcare system, the dynamic growth of industry, and improvements in the quality of medical services, Medinex 2025 serves as a vital platform for promoting innovation, sharing knowledge, and fostering new partnerships.

Around 80 companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Oman, Poland, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine are participating in the exhibition. Italy, Egypt, Oman, and Ukraine are represented with national pavilions.

Medinex covers all key sectors of the healthcare and medical industry. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of areas, including medical equipment and devices, information technologies in medical services, medical supplies and consumables, pharmaceuticals, vitamins and dietary supplements, orthopaedic equipment and devices, prosthetic technologies and assistive devices, dental equipment, instruments, and services, optical and ophthalmological equipment, paediatric medical devices and specialised services, innovative laboratory equipment and technologies, pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and ready-made solutions, healthy nutrition and nutritional science, medical education and training, aesthetic and cosmetic medicine and etc.

As part of the exhibition, an important first aid training session will be held: “BLS (Basic Life Support) – for Everyone.” During the training, participants will be provided with practical and educational materials highlighting the importance of properly administering first aid to save lives and emphasizing the value of these skills for every individual.

The exhibition features a comprehensive business program. Traditionally, the presentation area of the Expo Center hosts panel discussions, presentations, and seminars dedicated to pressing topics in the field of medicine, attracting both participants and visitors. Guests are invited not only to explore the latest medical technologies but also to take part in hands-on training sessions aimed at improving their medical knowledge and skills.

As part of Medinex, a blood donation campaign is also being held as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative. This charitable event takes place on October 30, the opening day of the exhibition, at the blood donation point located in the foyer of the Baku Expo Center. The goal of the campaign is to promote a culture of blood donation within society and to provide real assistance to patients in need of blood.

The Medinex Exhibition is held with the support of the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance and the Administration of the Regional Medical Divisions (TƏBİB). Both organizations are also represented at the exhibition with their own stands.
