AIQ comes from bringing together AI with IQ, i.e., with people. We are building artificial intelligence for the energy industry. We rely on 3 things – the first is really good quality data. We are part of ADNOC, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, and we get volumes of data. The second is infrastructure and we get that from a company called Group 42. And the third is people: data scientists, software engineers, subject matter experts from the industry who help us understand how to build the right solutions to mimic real life environments, to build modules that are extremely accurate. So, we now provide a variety of AI solutions across the entire value chain of the energy industry.
After 3.5 years of building up these solutions, our goal now is to bring them to the international market and that’s also why we are at this exhibition today. The Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition has been going on for almost 30 years and it was always in the diary. We look at this event as an opportunity to work with ADNOC and Masdar companies to bring our products and solutions to local companies like SOCAR so that they could reap their value as well. It is only day one, and we are getting a lot of interest. This morning was not very busy with visitors because we had a state visit going on, but since afternoon things have really picked up. There is a mix of different people; for example, I met with the Senior Vice-President of ARAMCO. They came to our stand this morning and were really intrigued to see the breadth of the solutions we already have built. In fact, we are starting to potentially work with them on some offerings as well. And of course, this event is a convenient venue to interact with other exhibitors. What we are able to do is partner with a number of companies that are operating here and we can then apply an AI layer on top of their software that allows electronic control of equipment, for example, valves. So, we are looking for partners here in the local community who we can work with around their environments, and this exhibition is, absolutely, the venue where we can reach many companies. I can guarantee we will be coming to this exhibition next year as well. We are gold sponsors here this year; we have done that on purpose and I expect through the discussions that are already ongoing to strengthen the relationships here in Azerbaijan – we will just grow. We are looking forward to the rest of the days of this exhibition and to coming back next year.
