SOCAR KBR is a joint venture between SOCAR and KBR. It was established in 2015, with 51% owned by SOCAR and 49% by KBR. Our main area of activity is engineering design in the oil and gas sector. We closely cooperate with BP and participate in the implementation of major industry projects. These include ACE (Azeri Central East Platform), Shah Deniz Compression, Shah Deniz Alpha Power, and Sangachal Terminal Electrification. Engineering design for these projects was carried out by SOCAR KBR. Currently, we also have several ongoing projects. In particular, we have started work with BP on the “Karabakh” project at the conceptual design stage. In addition, we expect to participate in new oil and gas sector projects.
The exhibition is organized at a high level. Companies operating in the oil and gas industry are represented here, so it is a good opportunity for professional communication and exchange of experience. Overall, we are satisfied with the organization of the event and the atmosphere.
Great attention at the exhibition is attracted by SOCAR group companies and joint ventures such as SOCAR Cape and SOCAR Downstream. The company Masdar is also actively participating.
As for our booth, we have already received interest from companies from China and Russia. The exhibition is still ongoing, so it is too early to speak about concrete results. Nevertheless, visitor interest is noticeable. According to colleagues who worked at the booth on the first day, activity was quite high, and we expect it to continue.
